The services provided by the R.E.S.T. Center can be divided into 4 simple categories, each aimed at strengthening our community and helping our friends and neighbors on their recovery process. At the Center, only focusing on substance use disorders misses the mark. We talk about the whole story, and support members of our community through it all.

RECOVERY

In providing immediate care, the Center provides a multitude of services. In order to make sure our R.E.S.T.ers are equipped for the cold winter months, we hold clothes and jacket drives. We also hold regular events to strengthen our community, like our most recent Thanksgiving dinner, which was graced by a number of performances at our very own open mic. Stop by one of these fun community events or just pop by the center to see for yourself!

EMPLOYMENT

For our R.E.S.T.ers, we know that sustainable employment is incredibly important. That’s why we offer programs on computer literacy and skills in our fully equipped computer lab, resume writing courses with knowledgeable staff, resources for online college education, and even job fairs (keep an eye out for our first one this December!). Not only do we provide services surrounding employment, but we utilize our connections with local employers to support our REST Center community. We even write letters of recovery for members searching for work and new opportunities.

SUPPORT

In supporting our community members on their recovery journeys, we provide a space for open discussion and family. Some of our programs include Smart Recovery Meetings, Overdose grief and loss support groups, Narcotics Anonymous, Alcoholics Anonymous, The Hearing Voices Network, and other key programs.

TRAINING ​

In terms of training, we soon hope to provide recovery coach training, professional training for social work, and even NARCAN harm reduction training for community members. See more about this on our Volunteers and Community page.

At the R.E.S.T. Center, we understand that every recovery is different for every individual with a substance use disorder and does not prioritize any single path. Instead, we aim to support our members in any capacity possible, whether its through meetings, community events, or even just hanging out with our trained and passionate staff.
