How to Play:

Chess is a game for 2 players at a time. It is considered to be a strategic board game which is played on a chessboard. The chess board is specific of its kind. It has 64 squares arranged in an eight-by-eight grid.

Each player has 16 pieces which includes:

• One king

• One queen

• Two rooks

• Two knights

• Two bishops

• Eight pawns

All of these moves differently in order to attack and capture the opponent’s pieces with the goal to ‘checkmate’ the opponents king by placing it under an inescapable threat of capture.

The game can also be won if the opponent gives up which is usually in two cases:
