Freezer

Freezer lets you "freeze" apps — instantly cut off their internet access and

silence their notifications — without uninstalling them. Take back your focus,

save battery and data, and stop background apps from phoning home.

HOW IT WORKS — LOCAL VPN (please read)

Freezer uses Android's VpnService to create a LOCAL, on-device VPN. This is the

core feature and the only way an app can block another app's network access

without root. Important:

• The VPN runs entirely on your device. It does NOT connect to any external or

remote VPN server.

• No traffic is routed off your device. Packets from frozen apps simply enter a

local tunnel and are dropped.

• Freezer does NOT read, log, collect, store, or transmit your network traffic,

browsing, or any personal data.

• Only apps you choose to freeze are affected. Everything else bypasses the VPN.

• You grant the VPN permission via Android's standard dialog and can revoke it

anytime in Android Settings.

PERMISSIONS

• VPN (VpnService): required to block frozen apps' network access (local only).

• Notification access: to silence notifications from frozen apps.

• Usage access (optional): only for auto-freeze when an app goes to background.

Your privacy is the whole point: everything stays on your device.
