Operation of Improving the Quality of Vocational and Technical Education through the Establishment of Sectoral Centers of Excellence, of which the Ministry of National Education General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education is the beneficiary, implemented within the scope of the Pre-Accession Assistance Instrument 2014-2020 period (IPA II); It aims to improve the quality of Vocational and Technical Education in Turkey.

The aim of the project is to train teachers and administrators, improve learning environments, make vocational and technical education an attractive option for students, and increase cooperation between schools, social partners and the private sector by establishing Sectoral Centers of Excellence.

The project covers 25 pilot provinces and 25 occupational fields.

Sectoral Centers of Excellence:

14 Sectoral Centers of Excellence covering a total of 25 fields and 1 Sectoral Center of Excellence working on vocational and foreign languages ​​and mathematics and science for vocational education are being established.

Sectoral Centers of Excellence support the continuous professional development of teachers receiving vocational and technical education.

With METEK III Project;

- Quality Assurance Boards are established in 25 cities,

- 3,000 teachers are given on-the-job training,

- 15 Sectoral Centers of Excellence are being established,

- Training on Learning Materials is provided for Vocational and Technical Secondary Education Institutions,

- Vocational Guidance and Career Counseling Services are being strengthened,

- 18 Grant Projects are being implemented locally.
