Nomad DB

Take your databases with you.

Nomad DB is an on-device database client for Android phones and tablets. Connect directly to PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, MS SQL, Azure SQL servers that you configure. Database and SSH traffic travels between your device and those servers, without an intermediary database proxy/backend.

- Learn without connecting to a remote database.

MONITOR YOUR DATABASES

- View supported database and server metrics in the included starter Dashboard.

- Create condition-based SQL alerts for PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB.

- Choose a polling interval and receive local notifications.

- Pause or stop enabled background alert monitoring from its persistent notification.

- Android background checks are best effort, not an exact-time guarantee.

LOCAL RECOVERY AND APP PROTECTION

- Create encrypted manual Restore Points for supported targets within the displayed usage and storage limits.

- Inspect local Recovery history and storage use.

- Protect app access using biometric or device authentication.

- Store connection profiles, query history, settings and alert rules locally, with protected storage for sensitive saved values where supported.

EARLY ACCESS SCOPE

Some operations have engine-specific limits. Trigger-bearing MySQL/MariaDB migration and restore, and MongoDB automated queries requiring enforced read-only sessions, are currently unavailable. Recovery covers supported actions and cannot observe changes made by every other database tool or user.

Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database are the most recently implemented engines and are currently fully supported at the driver-level (with Nomad specific features to follow soon, Ex: Builder, Dashboards, Recovery, Alerts, etc.), and can be connected via Traditional SQL Connection (Microsoft Entra sign-in is under QA and is expected to be available in a near-future build)

Nomad DB requires no Respawn Studios account and includes no advertising or analytics services.

You are responsible for the databases you connect to, their permissions and backups, and your selected transport-security settings. Neither Nomad DB nor Respawn Studios take any responsibility for the actions done via the use of the application. Always partake in best data practices and keep your data safe.
