NURDM

National Urban & Rural Development Mission was founded by a group of like-minded associates to involve the rural and urban poor in various developmental activities. National Urban & Rural Development Mission herein after referred in short as “NURDM is a non-political, non-profit making, social organization has been working for various social causes to uplift the status of all classes in respect of to provide better health, education, social status, shelter to homeless, to care the various other schemes and program since the date of in inception without any discrimination of caste, creed, gender, sex, language, and areas.”

Established on 14th November, 2010 as a platform for discussion and action on developmental issues concerning the poor.

CORE VALUE OF THE ORGANIZATION

#1 Empathy with Poor:

NURDM believes in Empathy with poor and downtrodden segments of the society in fostering social justice and equity. We reflect the belief and concern for the poor before our individual and organizational interest.

#2 Respect to traditional knowledge and Wisdom:

The organization firmly believes that the traditional knowledge and wisdom have successfully sustained the needs of the society and is capable of fostering future growth.

#3 Transparency:

The organization believes in transparency and accountability in the true sense. All the policies, strategies, programs and budgets are shared with concerned stakeholders, donors, organizational members, staff, and beneficiaries.

#4 Gender equity:

Gender equity is a cross-cutting policy in all the activities of the organization and addressing the issues of women and their concerns. The organization has adequate representation of women in the governing board and staff distribution. Out of total beneficiaries reached 60% are women.

Its head office is located at Delhi besides its other branches in different places of its working are which are wholly controlled and managed through its head office. The sole purpose of the branches is to run the schemes and programmers in that particular area effectively and meaning full for the better achievement of its goal.

NURDM is being run, managed and controlled by good numbers of dedicated social workers of the different sections of the society apart from respectable and highly qualified dignitaries in various fields.
