PatientMD Patient

PatientMD is a free App providing a mobile platform to privately, securely and anonymously connect patients, with similar medical conditions, in order to share, via conversations, their knowledge and experiences on the quality, cost and effectiveness of products and services they have used to manage their medical conditions. By collectively sharing our knowledge and experiences, we can help each other and transform healthcare world-wide to an industry that is Value-Based and Patient-Centered while maintaining and strengthening the Patient/Doctor relationship.

As Patients, we all possess some degree of Medical expertise on our condition. By sharing this information with other patients, we all can play an important role in improving the health and well-being of patients across the world. Doctors world-wide will also be allowed to participate in the conversations and provide their knowledge, experiences and medical expertise on a variety of medical issues. Conversations can range from multiple topics such as Heart Disease, Diabetes, Cancer, Mental Disorders, Obesity, Medications, Procedures, Quality and Cost of services and products etc. Let’s begin sharing your knowledge and experiences with each other to transform healthcare world-wide to a Value-Based and Patient-Centric Industry.

Version 2.19: Features

• All patients are anonymous and recognized by their ‘handle name” in the PatientMD community. Doctors will be recognized within the PatientMD community.

• In regards to the color scheme, all your posts and comments are in blue. Other patient’s posts and comments are in grey and doctor’s posts and comments are in green.

• The original post to begin a conversation, conversation header, can be in blue, grey or green depending on who initiated the conversation. Within each conversation, you can make a request for a “Private Chat” with any user or users within the conversation.

• Your “Local Circle”- here you are able to view and join all healthcare topics of conversation beginning with those near your locality and beyond.

• Your “Topic Circle” – here you can view healthcare conversations taking place around the world on medical Topics that you have shown interest during the registration process but you have yet to join.

• Your “Posts” – here are a list of all the healthcare conversations you have participated within the PatientMD community. A number is listed within the header indicating the number of comments you have made within the conversation.

• Your “Searches” – contains a list of all healthcare or medical related searches you have conducted within PatientMD.

• Under your “More” tab, you find the ability to view all your “Private Chats”, update your Profile, edit your Topics for your “Topic Circle”, change your Password, View the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy of PatientMD, and Contact Us for Customer Service or Feedback on the PatientMD App that we welcome.

• Within each Post or comment there will be an exclamation mark (!). Tapping the exclamation mark allows you to report any Post or comment that is inappropriate for the PatientMD community.
