라비 시즌 해충 예측 실증 모델 기반 시스템
PESTPREDICT-EMS (rabi) from 2017 consists capability to predict six insects, four diseases and two beneficials of groundnut across locations of Anantapur (AP), Junagadh(GJ), Dharwad (KA) and Cuddalore (TN). Target users are researchers, extension personnel of agriculture and farmers and forecasts of desired insect pest(s) or disease(s) are location and crop specific. PESTPREDICT reduces calculation efforts and provides an instant and extempore framework for use of developed prediction models. The open source application also facilitates easy prediction of insect pest dynamics for the current and future climate scenarios when the relevant values of temperature relating to the emission scenarios are available. Currently this application is in English and under field use for validation and prediction of the incidence of pests ofgroundnut (during rabi) at the real time pest dynamic study locations (24 nos) for purposes of issuing ‘pest alerts’ at times of high severity or above economic threshold levels . Forecast of insect pests and diseases help farmers to be prepared at times of impending outbreaks and use precise recommendations for their management on crops and is a product for dissemination of crop protection technologies within the framework of ‘Digital India’.
