PhasmaFOOD

PhasmaFOOD is an EU-funded H2020 project that represents a strong consortium of nine leading food security, sensing technologies and information technology stakeholders in Europe. PhasmaFOOD is working on the development, demonstration and exploitation of a miniaturized smart integrated system that will be able to detect food hazards, spoilage and food fraud through heterogeneous micro-scale photonics. The connected device will be integrated with a parameterized, knowledge-based, software architecture for on-the-spot food quality sensing and shelf-life prediction.

The PhasmaFOOD mobile application is developed as a primary tool for enabling control of the PhasmaFOOD smart sensing device. The mobile application performs three main functions:

a. It provides communication bridge between the PhasmaFOOD sensing device and the PhasmaFOOD cloud platform.

b. It provides user interface for PhasmaFOOD account management, measurement configuration wizard with options for configuring PhasmaFOOD sensing device and interface for quick quality inspection of the collected measurement data.

c. The application provides interface for presenting users with food analysis results derived on the cloud platform based on the trained machine learning models and provided measurement data.
