Solar System Derby

In a future where humanity has colonized the Solar System, space horse racing will be a popular sport. Mindsea horses descended from the legendary white stallion of Mars will gallop across the sun-drenched craters of Mercury, the dusty red plains of Mars, the rings of Saturn. Native to a deeper level of reality from which our world and others like it are generated, mindsea horses are unaffected by extremes in temperature, gravitational fields, atmospheric pressure, or caustic chemicals.

Because humans are not evolved to function on their level, the horses have no riders. Instead, they are guided by signals flashed to them by their backers.

In Solar System Derby you will be able to bet on your favorite mindsea horse and transmit signals to it in the hope of making it run faster.

You can choose a different horse for each race, or get to know a few that respond well to your signals. Develop your strategy and try to beat the odds to amass a fortune.

Each race begins with a view of the planet where the race is to be run. A pull-down menu lets you review the horses and betting odds based on the horse's potential top racing speed. Once you place your bet, the race will begin. You will have an opportunity during each of three circuits to guide your horse with whip, ease, and let be buttons. Different strategies work with different horses on different planets.
