Tour Guide

Tour Guide is an Android application which facilitates people in searching for services available around them and getting important information about nearby places. This application facilitates the users in terms of time saving as you do not need to drive through all the nearby area in search of a place and it also saves the time you spend in asking people about the directions or distance of a certain place.

The main objective of this application is to combine different features available in such kind of applications in one application and to add some features which are not currently available in such applications. This application can be used throughout the world as it coordinates with Google Places instead of managing a local database of places.You can also add the place to favorites for viewing information even if no active data connection is available.

Following are the key features of Tour Guide:

• Search nearby places within a specified diameter

• View path to that place from your current location on a map

• Get the driving distance to the selected place

• Add a place to favorites to view later

• Compare places of same category on the basis of user ratings

• Emergency Messages to contacts which can be specified in Settings

• Weather Forecast of the current city of the user

• Prayer timings of mosques in a specified city

Note: Some features require active network connection and some also require GPS connection
