The first function of the UNIS Drive App is to fulfill the ELD Mandate. The mobile application is able to record the duty status changes of a driver and show comprehensive graphs that determine whether or not the driver is compliant with the HOS requirement. The driver has access to view and edit his or her previous records as well as to accept or deny log certifications, carrier edits, and unidentified logs.
The mobile application will connect to the Log Messaging Unit (LMU) which are installed in the truck’s engine. Once connected the LMU will communicate the engine data to track any drive time information.
