HOW IT WORKS

As messages are encrypted on your phone so WAM Recovery can't access them directly.

The only solution is to read them from the notifications that you receive and then create a messages backup based on your notification history.

When WAM Recovery will detect that a deleted message, it will immediately show you a notification in notification bar!

MEDIA MESSAGES

WAM Recovery also try to save the media attached to the message and you will receive a notification if it is deleted.

The following types of media can be recovered: pictures, videos, animated gifs, stickers.

WAM Recovery Limitations

Please be aware that it is not an official and best supported way to recover deleted messages. This is a alternate solution and may encounter limitations caused by the messaging app or even the Android OS:

1) Messages are recovered by notifications, so, if you have put a chat on silence, or if you are currently reading a message on the selected messaging app before it's deleted you will not receive a notification so WAM Recovery can't save it. This means that you can not recover notifications/messages before this app was downloaded into you phone(so download it quickly!).

2) If the messages/notifications aren't being saved, it may be due to Android killing WAM Recovery. So please remove WAM Recovery from all android battery optimization services!

3) WAM Recovery can't save files if they aren't completely downloaded! So if you are offline or having an unstable internet connection, or the sender deletes the message having a media file before the messaging app downloads it, WAM Recovery can't save it.

4) If you aren't using a WiFi connection, some media may not be automatically downloaded by your messaging app because of your settings. You can change this behavior in Messaging app > Settings > Data and storage usage and increase your chances of saving the media.
