Textured hair care isn’t hard, it’s just misunderstood. With the MMARA app, there is no more guessing, no more stress, just real tools for real results.

Track your journey & Gain Insights:

Start by taking the MMARA quiz to get your hair profile. Your MMARA hair profile provides you with an understanding of key hair attributes, a custom routine, and personalized ingredient recommendations to start building a foundational understanding of your hair and what it needs. It will be accessible at anytime through your MMARA profile.

Utilize the progress tracker to begin monitoring certain properties that contribute to hair health. Some obvious, such as breakage and fullness, and some more subtle factors such as your average water-intake and potential supplements you are taking. As you begin tracking, our engine performs analytics and looks out for trends in order to provide helpful insights to help you stay on track. The more information you provide, the more robust your insights.

Receive behavioral support in the form of automated and scheduled reminders to help you remember certain aspects of your routine as well as tips and tricks to encourage you stay on track. Consistency is one of the biggest challenges many of us have to overcome in order to see the results we want, so let us help you!

Use our in-app product scanner while shopping in-store, or simply type in the barcode while shopping online and receive a match rating to help you identify which products work for your hair and which hair products you should avoid.

About Us:

MMARA was founded by three sisters. Though the details of our journeys differed, we shared many of the same challenges and frustrations. Our core struggles stemmed from a limited selection of products that actually work well for our hair, as well as a lack of accurate information surrounding what products to use and when. We refused to accept the general notion that texture hair is “impossible” or even “harder” to manage. 

We decided to crack the code on textured hair care to give women of color more information and guidance on how best to care for their hair using science. At MMARA, we want to empower women of color to achieve their most confident version of themselves by making hair care simple. No magic product, no gimmicks.
