Retro-DOS

Turn your Android device into a classic DOS PC. Retro-DOS is a DOSBox-X based emulator for running MS-DOS games and software you legally own.

RUN YOUR DOS LIBRARY

Point the app at a folder of DOS games and it scans them into an A-Z library. A game is normally a folder containing its EXE files, or a CD image. Each game launches from its own configuration, with its own sound settings, so a title that needs a particular setup keeps it. Games can also be added by hand. A bundled DOS environment boots to a familiar command prompt, so the app is useful before you have imported anything.

TUNED FOR TOUCH

An Xbox-style on-screen pad with triggers, a full-width on-screen keyboard whose keys stay held for classic key combinations, and controls you can remap without leaving the game. External gamepads work too. Choose the display aspect to suit the title.

Retro-DOS is a port of DOSBox-X, patched for Android with a more user-friendly setup interface. DOSBox-X is released under the GNU General Public License.
