Custom Keyboard

A keyboard that keeps to itself.

Custom Keyboard has no internet permission at all. Not "we promise not to send anything" — the app simply cannot. No ads, no accounts, no analytics, no crash reports. The words it learns are kept in its own folder on your phone and go nowhere else.

TYPING

- Suggestions that come from your own writing, not from a server

- Autocorrect with three settings: off, careful, normal

- Glide typing — draw a word through the letters

- Slide along the space bar to move the cursor

- Hold a key for the characters under it; hold the top row for digits

- The word you insist on is remembered and never corrected again

- Every layout the world writes with: Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew, Arabic, Armenian, Georgian, Devanagari, Bengali, Tamil, Thai, Hangul, Ethiopic, Cherokee, Inuktitut and more

- Switch with the globe key, or from the phone's own keyboard list

- Layouts appear in the system picker under their own names, in their own script

- The keyboard can follow the language a text field asks for

MAKE IT YOURS

- Nine themes, from paper-light to a glowing RGB one

- Your own photo as the background, with dimming and see-through keys

- Key height, letter size, corner rounding, gap, width and bottom margin — every one a slider, with a live preview that is a true miniature of the keyboard

- A number row if you want one, and separate sizes for landscape

- Move the keys where you want them, and put your own characters under a long press

EVERYTHING ELSE

- Emoji, with the ones you use most first

- GIFs from your own phone, ready in one tap

- Paste from the clipboard, voice input through your phone's recogniser

- Add a word to Android's own dictionary, so apps stop underlining it

BULGARIAN, AND THE OLD ALPHABET

Besides the usual Bulgarian layout, the keyboard carries the reformed orthography with the letters the language lost: ѣ, ѫ, ѧ, ѭ, і, ї. It is the reason this app exists.

FREE

No paid version, no locked features, nothing to subscribe to. There is a donation button in the settings; it unlocks nothing and can be ignored.

The keyboard is made by one person and is still being written.
