PassVerity – Private Passport Reader

PassVerity is an independent passport-reading and document-processing utility designed to help users read information from compatible electronic passports using their device's camera and NFC capabilities.

The app can process supported passport information locally on the device and provides tools for reading document data and performing optional face comparison.

Scan the Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) of a compatible passport using your device camera.

• Manual Data Entry

Enter passport information manually when MRZ scanning is not possible.

• NFC ePassport Reading

Read data from compatible electronic passports using your device's NFC reader.

Perform an on-device liveness check using randomized actions to help determine whether the captured face is from a live person.

• Face Comparison

Compare a live facial image with the portrait available in a compatible electronic passport.

• Local Processing

Passport images, MRZ information, NFC passport data, facial images, and face-comparison data are processed locally on your device where supported.

• No Account Required

PassVerity does not require users to create an account to use its core passport-reading features.

Privacy

PassVerity is designed with privacy in mind. Passport and facial information used by the core document-reading features is processed on the device and is not uploaded to PassVerity's servers.

Temporary camera files used during processing are deleted after they are no longer required.

The app may use third-party services for limited functionality such as diagnostics, advertising, analytics, or in-app purchases, as described in the app's Privacy Policy.

NFC functionality requires an NFC-enabled Android device and a compatible electronic passport.
