New: Nous Portal sign-in rebuilt (Settings → Labs).
  • Sign in with a code in your browser; Hermes picks a model your plan can use (change it anytime).
  • Fixed: Nous stopped working after its old default model was retired.
  • Signing out keeps your other settings; the home screen shows it.
  • Safer API key saving: if ~/.hermes/.env can't be edited safely, the app tells you instead of changing it.
  • Terminal: ${VAR} in ~/.hermes/.env now expands.

New: Hermes 0.21.5 built in, including Tavily web search.
  • Read Aloud (TTS): choose a voice (incl. German) and speed in Settings → Edge Features.
  • Image Generation API Key: enter your fal.ai key in Settings. Web search also works without a key.
  • On-device Gemma 4 no longer fails on the first message.
  • LAN API: devices on your Wi-Fi can use the on-device model.
  • Guides under Settings → About.
  • Backups no longer include saved passwords or login tokens.

  • Running code from a chat works again on Android.
  • Web pairing now asks for a 6-digit code shown on your phone, locks after 5 wrong tries and only answers on the Wi-Fi it displays.
  • If an in-app hermes-agent update left the app unable to start, this version repairs it on first launch — no reinstall. Updates that can't start are now rolled back automatically.
  • .env keys written with export, quotes or a trailing comment are read correctly; an empty key no longer shows as configured.

  • New on-device engine: Gemma 4 E2B running on the Snapdragon NPU. No API key, no network. Verified on Snapdragon 8 Elite (SM8750); needs a ~3 GB download. Best for short questions — its context window is small, so a long input or a conversation that keeps going will fail partway. The existing on-device engine is still there for longer work.
  • The terminal now asks your keyboard not to use what you type there for learning.
  • Adding a teammate now tells you it shares your API quota.

3.2.1— Light and pure-black (OLED) themes
  • Pick yours in Settings → Appearance
  • The terminal follows, with colours chosen for light backgrounds — listings, diffs and warnings stay readable.
  • Fixed text and buttons that were invisible in one theme.
  • Edge features install directly now — no rating asked.
  • Fixed a false "can't reach the AI service" warning.
  • Fixed file attach sometimes doing nothing.
  • On-device inference (Snapdragon NPU) failed with "HTTP 500"

  3.1.1 — Internal optimization
  • No new features and no behaviour changes in this release. We changed how the app is packaged: smaller download, and the code is harder to decompile.
  • If you notice anything off, please report it from the store page — this kind of change shouldn't affect any feature, but we'd like to be sure.

3.1 — Hand files to your agent: PDF, Word, text
  • Attach files: tap the paperclip in the chat bar and your agent reads PDFs, Word docs, slides and text — no paths, no permissions.
  • Teammates can have non-Latin names: your name is kept, the internal id is generated for you.
  • Clearer key errors: "the service rejected this key" vs "no answer".
  • Backups no longer carry this phone's pairing key; added Reset pairing.
  • Fixed an undeletable blank teammate and the pairing QR missing on Windows.

Fixed a crash that could close the app while ads were loading.

New: Shared folder. Put files somewhere Hermes can read and edit them, and pick up whatever Hermes creates. Find it in Settings.

Scrolling through a conversation no longer snags on the side menu.
Fixed: "Check for updates" did nothing while a session was open, and large updates could time out partway through downloading.

  • Fixed: some new installs failed on the very first message. Setup now asks you to pick a provider instead of quietly choosing one for you.
  • OpenCode Free is temporarily unavailable. The provider changes its free models without notice and they became unreliable. Please use your own API key or subscription for now — we'll bring it back once it's dependable.
  • Fixed a crash that built up over days for Desktop Collaboration users.

  • Backup & Restore: save your conversations, memories, skills and settings to one file — anywhere you like — and bring them back on a new phone. API keys and external logins are never included.
  • Teammates (Labs): give Hermes a few colleagues. Each has its own memory, personality and skills, all on your device.
  • Engine updated to hermes-agent 0.20.5.
  • Start with no API key — pick OpenCode Free and chat.
  • On-Device is now Snapdragon NPU.
