  3.1 — Hand files to your agent: PDF, Word, text
  • Attach files: tap the paperclip in the chat bar and your agent reads PDFs, Word docs, slides and text — no paths, no permissions.
  • Teammates can have non-Latin names: your name is kept, the internal id is generated for you.
  • Clearer key errors: "the service rejected this key" vs "no answer".
  • Backups no longer carry this phone's pairing key; added Reset pairing.
  • Fixed an undeletable blank teammate and the pairing QR missing on Windows.

  Fixed a crash that could close the app while ads were loading.
  
  New: Shared folder. Put files somewhere Hermes can read and edit them, and pick up whatever Hermes creates. Find it in Settings.
  
  Scrolling through a conversation no longer snags on the side menu.
  Fixed: "Check for updates" did nothing while a session was open, and large updates could time out partway through downloading.

  • Fixed: some new installs failed on the very first message. Setup now asks you to pick a provider instead of quietly choosing one for you.
  • OpenCode Free is temporarily unavailable. The provider changes its free models without notice and they became unreliable. Please use your own API key or subscription for now — we'll bring it back once it's dependable.
  • Fixed a crash that built up over days for Desktop Collaboration users.

  • New Stop button in the notification — shut the background service down completely in one tap.
  • Battery: no wake lock is held while no terminal session is running.

  3.0.4 — Install and repair reliability
  
  • FIXED: A broken system copy of a crypto library could permanently block Hermes from repairing itself — even "Repair install" could not get past it. It is now detected and set aside.
  • FIXED: "Check install" could report everything healthy while packages needed for MCP tools were missing. It now tells the truth, and "Repair install" puts them back.
  • "Check install" shows progress and ignores repeat taps.
  • Setup after an update no longer blocks chatting.

  3.0.3 — Install / update / repair reliability
  
  • FIXED: MCP tools could not load at all on Android. They work now.
  • FIXED: A failed update could leave the agent half-updated and unable to start. It now rolls back to the version you had.
  • FIXED: An interrupted install or update no longer gets stuck — the app cleans up and rebuilds on next launch.
  • Clear message when the environment is not ready.
  • "Check install" no longer flags the optional git tool.

  3.0.2 — Critical fixes
  
  • FIXED: After updating hermes-agent inside the app, it failed to start every time with a long error message. Affected devices repair themselves automatically on the next launch — no reinstall needed.
  • FIXED: On some devices the app re-ran its setup on every launch, took minutes, then failed the same way.
  • Updates now verify the agent still starts before reporting success.
  • "Repair install" now tells you honestly if it did not succeed.
