AlphaSMS

AlphaSMS is a simple app that primarily lets you read your sms and write sms. In addition, it automatically filters your incoming spam sms and puts in a SPAM tab.

AlphaSMS can be launched by tapping its launcher icon. It shows the INBOX tab that contains useful sms and SPAM tab that displays spam/non-useful sms. The sms are collapsed in the parent thread. The about menu of the app details out all actions that can be performed.

For SPAM filtering on incoming new messages, active internet connection in the device is required. If there is no internet connection, the new message by default goes into INBOX. User can chose to move the spam message to SPAM tab. In that case, any incoming message in this thread will automatically move to SPAM tab.

The app sends the incoming new messages to server for classification. But it does not store the message on the server.

Spam filtering is based on strong and efficient machine learning algorithm that runs on the server. The classification of messages is pretty accurate, but still in some cases it might not be so in the user's context. So the user can chose to manually correct it by bringing them to accurate tab.
