The game Winner of the International Awards MSXdev'06 come back now on your Android Device! In this re-release of "The Monster Hunter - Arthur's Quest" we will have taken care of the details so you get all right great experience from MSX original cartridge, but adding some new features and fixes.

Now, you can live and relive whole adventure of the legendary Arthur "The Monster Hunter" in this classic RPG for MSX! Get the King's safe conduct, fulfills the role of your eternal quest and finally returns home. But only if you get out of the vast reign where you are stuck, always surrounded by countless monsters and multiple hazards.

It has been seven years since "The Monster Hunter - Arthur's Quest" for MSX won First Place in the international award MSXdev. It was a hard work but very satisfying that we want everyone to enjoy beyond the limits of what is actually recognized as a classic MSX hardware.

The edition that we present to you is same that was released at MSX original cartridge. Have been reissued and corrected some details, and new features have been added as Icade´s gamepad support, scanline effect, activation of tricks and a wonderful jukebox where you can enjoy the music of the game, both from the cartridge version as some unpublished.

YOUR ADVENTURE

You´re a monster hunter who has finally reached the end of your quest in a land where you can not leave it. You need request a pass moreover from King that it will allowed rescue his father and return to his true home to give end your search. Discover all the nooks and items to achieve your goal successfully.

HOW TO PLAY

The game works with a simple tap on the screen for action button or dragging your finger in the chosen direction for move.

Dragging your finger across the screen in the direction you indicate, you make that character move in this direction. With a single tap will run the action button and, keeping the touch of your finger on the screen for 2 seconds, you will come back to main menu.

Very interesting features added that will delight the most demanding: You can also play with a compatible Icade´s gamepad control connected it to your device!

MAIN MENU

Here you can choose to start a new game or continue a previous recorded at a checkpoint and perform more options.

INVENTORY

You can access your inventory with a one-touch on screen (or joystick fire).

In it you will find information on their status in the game: items, weapons, and magic defenses. Using your finger slipping to right or left in inventory, you can access all sections cyclically to thereof.

THE SHOPS

In the game you will find three types of shops: weapons, defense and magic.

The items you buy from them will help you in resolving the fighting against different types of enemies.

If you´re not interested, you can also sell items purchased that you no longer need.

CHECKPOINTS

In the game you will find a special type of object that allows you to save your status so you can continue at any other time.

COMBATS

Use your weapons against any enemy. Weapons subtract allow the enemy hitpoints while Shield can cancel enemy attack points.

Do not forget that destroy the enemies is a good way to get money in order to increase your attack and defense ability.

COINS AND SECRETS

Throughout your adventure you can go collect items shaped coin all around the different scenarios. This way you get money for shopping. There are a limited number, try to get as much as possible!
