Remind Ourselves To Be Honest

How to use wisdom to see beyond their surface.

The five commandments of Buddhism are:

not to kill,

not to steal,

not to have immoral sexual relationships,

not to lie and

not to consume alcohol.

"Lying" includes being dishonest about what you think or failing to tell the truth.

Honest people can receive six good rewards:

1. Being respected by both human beings and deities.

2. Having a silver tongue.

3. Having no fear when preaching in public.

4. Possessing forty teeth when becoming a Buddha.

5. Being eloquent when debating.

6. Attaining enlightenment quickly.
