The human genome, as it turned out, contains 223 genes that are not even in the invertebrate phase of the evolutionary path! They were not at the bottom, they did not go from step to step, and then suddenly - once! - appeared at the very top of the evolutionary ladder.

How could a person get so many mysterious genes?

Scientists, once again scratching their heads, thoughtfully stated that a person "imported" them from ... bacteria, and not so long ago (in the sense of the evolutionary time scale) and not horizontally, from the Tree of Life, but horizontally, from the side, so to speak. And what else can you think of if there are none below: there is a genetic gap gaping?

However, is it worth arguing about such trifles? Just think, there are some 223 genes out of tens of thousands ... This is a mere trifle! But it seems only at first glance. In fact, 223 genes are more than two-thirds of the difference between humans and chimpanzees!

Is such a colossal superiority of man over other species was obtained due to the "courtesy" of infectious bacteria? Fortunately, not everyone thinks so.
