Surah Al Qasas (سورة القصص) with Urdu Translation

Al-Qasas (Arabic: القصص‎, "The Story") is the 28th chapter (sūrah) of the Quran with 88 verses (āyāt).

According to Ibn Kathir's commentary, the chapter takes its name from verse 25 in which the word Al-Qasas occurs. Lexically, qasas means to relate events in their proper sequence. Thus, from the viewpoint of the meaning too, this word can be a suitable title for this Surah, for in it the detailed story of the Prophet Moses has been related ,also it includes story of Qarun from verse 76 to verse 83 explaining how Qarun was proud of him self thinking that his huge wealth earned by his own science,denying the grace of God on him and latter God destroyed him with his wealth underground.

It is narrated from the Holy Prophet (S) that whoever recites this Surah will get the reward equivalent to the number of people present at the time of Prophet Musa (a.s.) and all the angels will bear witness on his behalf. If one drinks the water in which this Surah has been dissolved, all his problems and worries will be solved.

Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) has said that drinking water in which this Surah (Sorah . Sura) has been dissolved is a remedy from illness and worries (this can also be done by writing the Surat inside a container and then gathering rain water in the same container).

Seen Meem Al-Qasas” will be given ten rewards equal to those who

testified to Musa and those who falsified him, and there will not

remain any angel in the heavens and the earth who would not testify

for him on the Day of Qiyamat that he was a truthful person.

2. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: One who writes it and

mixes it with water and drinks it, all the sorrows and pains will go

away from him.

3. Whoso recites this surah would be credited with

virtues ten times more than the number of those who

testified and belied prophet Musa; and on the day of

judgement each and every angel would testify the

truthfulness of the reciter.

4. Whoso writes this surah on a china plate,

washes it with clean water, and drinks it all his

sorrows, pains and worries would disappear.

5. If there is swelling and pain in the stomach, or

an ailment in the liver, write this surah on a china

plate, wash it with rain water, and drink it, inshallah

the patient would be fully cured.
