Little Red Riding Hood, or Little Red Ridinghood, also known as Little Red Cap or simply Red Riding Hood, is a European fairy tale by Brothers Grimm about a young girl and a Big Bad Wolf. The story has been changed considerably in its history and subject to numerous modern adaptations and readings. Red Riding Hood decides to venture into the woods to visit her sick grandma. On her way she meets the wolf and tells him her plans even though she was warned not to talk to strangers by her mother. The hungry wolf races to grandma’s house eats the grandma, dresses in her clothes and gets into the bed. Red arrives to find the door open and her grandma in bed. ‘Oh! grandmother,' she said, 'what big ears you have!'' All the better to hear you with, my child,' was the reply. 'But, grandmother, what big eyes you have!' she said. 'All the better to see you with, my dear.''But, grandmother, what large hands you have!'' All the better to hug you with.' 'Oh! but, grandmother, what a terrible big mouth you have!'' All the better to eat you with!', the wolf said and ate the little red riding hood. But when the wolf falls asleep, a huntsman spots his foe and cuts his belly open saving red and her grandma.
