The number and importance of milk cattle and biologically held the ecologically run production holdings has increased steadily in recent years. It is expected that these changes will also require veterinary medicine even more, since almost 5% of dairy farms according to the guidelines of the EU Organic Regulation produce, and of these, in turn, 95% of the more stringent requirements of one of the four largest farming associations Bioland, NATURLAND, Demeter or Biokreis economies.

These requirements also apply to veterinary-related areas such as waiting times, medication restrictions (especially antibiotics and anti-parasitics) and zootechnical measures.

To overview the clinic for ruminants with ambulance and livestock management of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich developed the app "ÖkoVet". Here you will find:
