Calculator beams in flexure
I present to your attention a calculation to determine the deflection of the beam.
To calculate you need:
1. Choose a cross section shape
2. Choose a material
3. Select the required design scheme
4. Select the type of load (distributed along the length of the beam or concentrated)
5. Specify the geometric dimensions shown in the pictures.

Of the possible cross sections in this calculator, the most frequently encountered sections were chosen: a circle, a pipe, an I-beam, a channel, a corner, a rectangle, a square and a profile pipe.
The calculation includes such materials as wood, steel, reinforced concrete, aluminum, copper, glass and even rubber (for interest).
It is also possible to select the design scheme: hinge-hinge, embedment-hinge, embedment-embedment and embedment-free end.
After the deflection of the beam is calculated, you can click the "Details" button and find out the sectional area of the calculated element, its mass, the distributed load of its own weight and the moment of inertia of the specified section.
Knowing the length of the span of the beam according to SP 20.13330.2016 "Loads and Impacts" for such structures as a beam, a truss, a bolt, a girder, a slab, a floor of coatings and overlaps, the limiting deflection is calculated, which can be compared with the resulting deflection and decide on the cross section of your structures (to reduce the deflection in the first place it is necessary to increase the height of the section)
