Hatem Farid Al-Waer... one of the largest and youngest imams in Alexandria

With his humble recitation and the sweetness of his voice, Sheikh Hatem Farid Al Waer was able to gain a large audience at the age of thirty and become one of the oldest imams in the city of Alexandria.

Sheikh Hatem was born and raised in the village of Tabloh in Menoufia Governorate. There, his father raised him to memorize the Qur’an from an early age, and he worked as a memorizer of the Book of God.

In order to complete his university studies, he moved to Cairo, where he joined the Faculty of Education affiliated with Al-Azhar University, and in parallel with his studies, he worked in a mosque. After his graduation, Sheikh Hatem joined the city of Alexandria to complete his studies before devoting himself to imamate and preaching.

Despite his young age, Sheikh Hatem Farid Al Waer was able to gain a wide following, as he is currently the imam of the Commander Ibrahim Mosque during the month of Ramadan, in addition to being the imam and preacher of the Bilal bin Rabah Mosque.
