The book on the visit of Imam al-Jawad, peace be upon him, is considered one of the most important books among the Shiite sect, as it is always read when visiting, beseeching, and seeking nearness.

Imam Muhammad al-Jawad, peace be upon him, is Muhammad bin Ali bin Musa bin Jaafar, known as al-Jawad or the Horse of the Imams, the ninth Imam of the Prophet’s family among the Twelver Shiites, as his imamate lasted 17 years. He was born in Medina.

He was martyred in Baghdad, at the age of 25, at the hands of Al-Mu'tasim Al-Abbasi. Accordingly, he was the youngest of the imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon him) when he was martyred, and he was buried in the Kadhimiya shrine next to the grave of his grandfather Musa bin Jaafar (peace be upon him).

The followers of Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, are everywhere, most of all in Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Sharqiya, and many other regions.
