You can easily measure illuminance anywhere by just running the app.

Brightness is measured using the light sensor built into the smartphone.

On the Galaxy, the ambient light sensor is built in near the front camera.

More accurate measurements are possible by pointing the front camera towards the light.

There may be differences in the light sensor of each device.

If adjustments are necessary, a correction factor (actual sensor value x correction factor = measured value) can be used to achieve more precise measurements.
