The app is used to manage an actively used song repertoire.

It is ideally suited for congregational and choral singing, singers and conductors, but also for preparing for a service and its musical accompaniment. Even if the app is designed for use in the New Apostolic context, use outside of this, including outside of church events, is possible and encouraged.

Songs, song books and entries for musical practice sessions or lectures can be created, edited and shared if necessary.

All official song books of the New Apostolic Church are included, including the freely available song texts (hymn book, choir book, choral song book II, new "green" youth song book, the supplement to the youth song book, Sing dem Herr 1-4 and Lieder zum Faith 1-2). The hymnal is also equipped with additional information such as the international availability of the songs, the existence of a choral setting, the time signature, key, internationality and other information.

## Song search

The search for all song content is possible via a search text field in the song area. Word boundaries can be defined explicitly using a '*' (e.g. when searching for "Jesu", but not wanting to search for "Jesus", this can be achieved by entering "Jesu*". Exact Find text passages, e.g. with "The*Lord*is*my*light". The * always stands for a word separator, i.e. space, period, comma etc.).

## More content

A lot of suggestions and experience from similar apps, local comments and creativity went into the programming. Listing all the resulting features here is a dream of the future. Nevertheless, a few things should be briefly mentioned here:

- Changeable color representation of songbooks

- Sorting of songs by the date they were last played, rating and numerous other sorting and filtering options

- Plan and document choir or ensemble rehearsals, create lists and document performance potential

- Search and find songs by lyrics, composer, notes,...

- Many songbooks from the New Apostolic standard repertoire with songs that are not protected by copyright have already been entered, more will follow

- Freely add, manage and share books, songs, lists and choir rehearsals

- Save the sheet music as an image or PDF directly in the app for easier and faster access

## Upcoming releases and planning

We welcome requests and suggestions and are happy to keep improving the app and adding useful features.

We would also like to offer the app for Apple devices in the Apple Store, but due to the relatively high annual fees for this, a financing model has to be developed first. If you want to support us with donations, please write to us at [email protected].

## Hints and tips

- The app has been tested many times, but data loss can always occur for various reasons (even if the device has to be reset). In the settings at the bottom there is the option of backing up the entire database (apart from attachments, as of 08.12.22) on the device (Backup data)

- Many functions are accessible via swipe gestures or a long tap, just try them out

- A core function is the sharing of your own content with others, e.g. several conductors can synchronize with regard to choir rehearsals or inform their singers. Long-press the element to be shared, select the three dots at the top right and select "Share".
