AR Virus Spread Simulator - Pre alpha

AR Virus Spread Simulator is an application that allows its users to simulate the spread of various viruses, by placing

them into the real world, using Augmented Reality.

On opening the app, the user enters room temperature in the panel, to emulate the accurate

survival of viruses on different surfaces. The user can then choose the material on which the

sustenance of coronavirus is to be simulated, by clicking on the “Menu” button displayed on the

home screen.

The coronavirus is placed by clicking on the infected hand displayed on the screen. The coronavirus

appears on the screen along with a panel that displays the additional information, like the “lifespan

of the virus”, “the surface it is being placed on” and “lifespan left”.

The two buttons “+1 Day” & “+1 Hour” help the user to observe the rapid passing of time within the

app. Once the sustenance of the coronavirus on the selected material is reached, the virus

disappears.

In a similar way the users can simulate the spread of a custom virus, by clicking on the “Add Custom

Virus” button available on the home screen and filling the details of sustainability of the custom

virus on each material. Then selecting the material for the sustenance of the virus, and finally

clicking on the custom button.

Note - Sustainability for the custom virus needs to be filled for all the materials for the virus to be

created locally within the application.
