The Pro compass widget now works on car head-up displays and tablets without a compass sensor: it follows your GPS direction of travel and shows speed and altitude. It starts by itself after a reboot, shows "GPS…" while it looks for a signal, and has a new look.

New for Pro: a live compass widget. Add it from Settings and the card turns with your phone right on the home screen. It uses extra battery while the screen is on, and you can stop it from its notification.

CSV export now starts with the time on your phone's clock, so a spreadsheet no longer shows every reading shifted by your time zone. The UTC column is still there.

The home screen widget now shows the date when its altitude is not from today, and the golden hour countdown keeps going for two weeks without opening the app. With background tracking (Pro) the widget updates by itself.

If your phone's location is switched off, Altimeter now says so on the main screen and stays there until it is fixed. The button opens the location switch itself, not the app's permission page, and readings start on their own once it is on. Before, a short notice faded after six seconds and the screen waited for GPS forever.

  تحديث في 02/10/2026

The compass no longer tells a working phone it has no compass: it waits while the sensor starts, and says so only when nothing answers. Altitude alerts set in feet were listed at the wrong number, and switching between metric and imperial moved an alarm you had already saved. Both fixed - your existing alerts are carried over. Rows in Settings now show a ripple when you tap them.

Pressure can now be shown in inHg, mmHg, kPa or psi - pick yours under Settings > Pressure Units. The compass tab now says plainly when a phone reports no heading, and shows your GPS course instead while you are moving.

Fixed: on the History screen, a tap made right after closing a panel could open an ad by mistake. Those taps are now ignored.

Two crash fixes. The app could close itself shortly after a phone restart, while it was restoring its scheduled reminders. It could also close when two switches in Settings asked for the same permission at the same moment. Both are gone.
