  Cord 4.0 rebuilds how Cord keeps your chats on this device.
  
  Cords and messages now live in an encrypted database on your phone. History is saved one message at a time, so an update, a restart, or a failed load cannot replace your transcripts with an empty copy. A message is stored locally before it is marked sent. Leaving a cord stays left.
  
  Updating from an earlier version keeps the cords and messages already on this device. End-to-end encryption is unchanged.

  Fixed an issue where some messages were not appearing in a cord after a period of inactivity, even when notifications arrived.
  Cords now repair their encryption automatically, so a conversation cannot get permanently stuck.
  Messages sent while a cord was affected may not arrive. Ask the sender to send them again.
