Droitwich AR Trail (DART)

The Droitwich AR Trail (DART) App is a great way to learn more about the town and its history.

Choose a virtual guide who will pop up at Points of Interest (POIs) and give you some historical facts – and then challenge you with multiple choice quizzes!

Earn virtual bags of salt for every question that you answer correctly and even for just visiting a POI!

HOW TO USE:

- Allow the app to access your camera and location when prompted

- Accept the terms of use

- Choose a guide

- Click on start/resume the trail button and hold your phone upright, looking through the camera. “Markers” will appear when you’re near to a Point of Interest (POI). If you’d like to select a specific POI, click on the Map button and slide the list out using the green button. Then tap on the POI you want to find and close the list. Click the Back button and the arrow at the top of the screen will help to guide you towards the POI.

- Please remember, the markers may be behind or to the side of you, so pan your device around 360 degrees – your phone will vibrate when you’re near a POI

- When you see a marker, tap on it to start the video and to learn more. When the video stops, a multiple choice quiz will appear allowing you to choose the correct answer

- At the end of each quiz, you’ll have the option to go back to the Augmented Reality screen and if availble, you can tap on the “Learn More” button to find out more about the POI
