Gayatri Maa is also known as Savitri and Vedamata (mother of vedas).

Few other name of Gayatri are Shatarupa, Savitri, Sarasvati, Gayatri, and Brahmani.

It is day when Maa Adishakti took form of gayatri to kill vetrasur.
