Ghana Football Team

Ghana’s football team is the selection of Ghanaian players representing the country at international men’s football competitions.

Ghana has won the Africa Cup of Nations four times in 1963, 1965, 1978 and 1982, and in 2014 holds the record for the number of finals played (8). The Black Stars in French: «Les étoiles noires» took part in three World Cup finals, in 2006, in 2010 when they reached the quarter-finals, and in 2014.

Among the football players who have marked the history of the selection, Abedi Pelé, three-time winner of the African Gold Ball in 1991, 1992 and 1993, is generally considered the biggest.
