grid2osm GisApp

There is a lack for mobile applications in power grid data acquisition, that allows for the publication of POI photos and geodata on a self-hosted website. The combination of the opensource GisApp and GisWeb, hosted at www.grid2osm.org, fills this gap.

With the application you can:

- Take photos of entities in the power grid like power poles, transformators and generators

- Collect geodata on these POI

- Trace user location during data gathering

- And, submit the data to a self-hosted server to add further data according to OpenStreetMap "power tag" guidelines
