* An NFC tag -- search for "ntag 203" or "mifare ultralight" online. Shouldn't cost more than a few dollars.

Version 1.1 should work with MIFARE Ultralight tags. Unfortunately you'll have to re-write your tags if you're upgrading from version 1.0, because the encryption method changed. Sorry! I'll try not to do this again.
