Lord Narasimha is the God of protection. Who defends and protect his devotees in times of need. Lord Narsimha is said to have a half-human and half-lion appearance. Narasimha’s avatar has been taken by Lord Vishnu to destroy demon king Hiranyakashipu. Hiranyakashipu’s son Prahlad was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu, which was intolerable by Hiranyakashipu. In rage he orders Prahlad’s death but Prahlad was saved from every attempt by Lord Vishnu. Finally Lord Vishnu appeared before Prahlad and asked him to seek boons. Prahlad asked for Lord’s forgiveness for his father and finally bestowed freedom from existence (Moksha).

Lord narasimha teach us that evil does not triumph over good. God is everywhere and listen to the prayers of his devotees.
