This is a tool for collecting the distribution area of a station listener.
This app changes the way that radio ratings are received. For several years now the industry in the US has used a “pager”-type device to pick up on inaudible watermarks that are injected into the audio of a radio broadcast. These devices are archaic. Moving that reception process to an app eliminates vast amounts of overhead and enables radio stations and other media companies to strengthen their marketing data about their listening audience. Further, the sampling size of the pager devices is considerably small and in many cases statistically insignificant. Moving that function to an app cuts across demographic challenges and is forward-looking with the technology, allowing broadcast radio to compete in a digital world.
