The role that AI technology plays in current global socio-political narratives has given rise to populism resembling that of the National Party's political underpinning when they were politicking for Apartheid before 1948. With the unrepresented and mostly unemployed white Afrikaner, the NP party got its backbone and wind of power. With the rise of AI technology, a majority of people are anticipating a bleak economic outlook due to the potential the technology has on replacing their skills and know-how.

Heaven Leaves focuses on how one person combined with current AI technology can rewrite the history on a pace unimaginable before and this technology will be used to camouflage images of Apartheid. The visual media used in the artwork are generated through photos and films that exposed the socio-political context of Apartheid for an international audience. These images are then "machine imagined" through the photos the artist took of an invasive tree called the Tree of Heaven(Ailanthus Altissima).
