Video Gallery polish: creating a folder that already exists on your phone (like Camera) now says so instead of treating it as new; folder switching can no longer be undone by a background refresh; clearer message if a folder can’t be accessed. Hard key fix, gallery and New folder dialog included.

Under-the-hood update: the ads library has been brought up to date (the previous version had reached end of life), along with the Kotlin toolchain. No change to what you see or where ads appear. Also adds internal diagnostics so we can measure ad loading precisely.

TESTERS: just use the app as normal - home screen, Settings, Soundboard, a short recording - and report anything that looks different or any crash on open.

  Updated on Aug 1, 2026

Build #295 — Updated starter soundboards (corrected).

The starter soundboards that fill in after install are the tuned production set — 20 boards, with per-tile volume, trim, and boost already dialed in. New installs get them automatically; existing users get them on any board they haven't customized (your edited boards are left alone).

TESTERS: on a FRESH install, wait for the pack to download, open the app — all boards should populate with the tuned sounds.

  Updated on May 19, 2026

Build #230 — Embedded gallery for View Files

Replaces the folder-picker dialog every user gets when tapping "View Files" with a real in-app gallery showing your recordings.

  • Tap any recording to play it in your preferred video player.
  • Share button for the standard Android share sheet.
  • Delete with confirmation.
  • Works on every device — no third-party file manager needed.
  • Recordings still save to DCIM so Google Photos backup keeps working.

  Updated on May 18, 2026

Build #227.1 hotfix — cold-start fix (Internal Testing)

Fixes a Build #226 regression: a crash-debug logger was doing ~69 main-thread file IO operations during MainActivity.onCreate, causing slow cold starts and an ANR on some devices.

  • Diagnostic file writes now run on a background executor.
  • No behavior change on fast filesystems; significant cold-start improvement on slow ones.

Build #227 changes from prior release still included.

Build #226 — Universal "View Files" fix

Fixes the home page "View Files" button on Blu phones (and every other device where it was failing).

  • Switched from ACTION_VIEW + MIME_TYPE_DIR to ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT_TREE — the official Storage Access Framework entry point, handled by AOSP DocumentsUI on every Play-Store-eligible Android device.
  • Picker pre-seeds to DCIM/Background Camera Remote on Android 8+.

What's new in the version 1.0.0-build225

  Updated on May 16, 2026

Build #225 — Re-ship of #224 with Settings card version fix

All Build #224 fixes (local UI recording regression, dead Start button) plus:
  • Settings "Build Number" card now reads versionCode/Name from the installed package at runtime via PackageManager (was reading inlined BuildConfig constants which Gradle's incremental compile cache left stale at 222 in #224).
  • Full clean rebuild — no stale bytecode anywhere in the dex.

Build #212 — Restore Phone Portrait Lock

  • Restore portrait lock on phones (rotation breaks active recording)
  • Tablets and foldables still rotate freely (>=600dp exempt)
  • Native debug symbols for crash symbolication
  • All native libs 16KB page-aligned
  • Official YouTube brand icon + pre-stream confirmation dialog
