Bal & Spriet

In this game you play the role of Bal and van Spriet. Bal is overweight and Spriet is not. Bal and Spriet each experience weight in their own way. They also talk and think differently about Balls and Sprieten. And about weight.

Each player plays a role: one chooses Ball and the other Spriet. If there are three of you, one player can choose where he or she wants to belong. If you are with four or more players, you can play in teams: team Bal and team Spriet.

You need: the board, two pawns, a mobile phone with the app and at least 2 players. The app explains the game further.

1. Unfold the corresponding Ball and Sprite game board.

2. Make a paper pawn from Bal and Spriet.

3. Open the app and press 'Start'.

4. Listen carefully to the explanation and follow the directions.

Background:

The stories in this game come from real-life stories of overweight people.

Overweight people are often discriminated against, sometimes in a very clear way, sometimes in an unconscious way. That causes stress and that is unhealthy. It can even make obesity worse. And little is said about weight and discrimination.

As a result, prejudices about weight are becoming stronger and more difficult to change.

The aim of the game is to discuss experiences and opinions about differences in weight. As a result, we can understand each other better, deal better with each other and ultimately there will be less discrimination.
