Although recreated with some artistic freedom, the horrors of this ancient battlefield are more vividly depicted than in any recording of historic facts. The fear and confusion so keenly felt by each soldier, so nearly wiped out by the run of the centuries, come to life as the battle narrows and only the best remain standing. As the fog of war blurs your vision and moral you get the sense that in every strike of the sword, in any precipitant attack or needless hesitation, lies not only your own scalp but the destiny of a continent.
