Best DIY Plastic Pots

Here’s a quick, cute solution for plants that never seem to get out of the ugly, plastic containers they often come in.

Supplies needed:

Napkins – these gingham ones are from Target

Contrasting embroidery thread

Needle

Step 1

Fold the napkin in half and fold in the bottom corners. You can fold in the corners as much or as little as you want – this allows you to adjust the size of the basket so you can measure by the plant, vase or whatever you’re going to put in there.

Step 2

Stitch up each side of the napkin with embroidery thread.

Step 3

Fold down the top of the basket. You can either keep it loose or stitch it to the side as well.

Insert a plant (or whatever needs covering) and you’re good to go. Just don’t forget to remove the plant for watering!
