The Reina Valera, also known as "Bear Bible" is one of the first translations of the Bible into Castilian. The work was done by Casiodoro Reina and revised by Cipriano Valera, from the translation of the original Hebrew and Greek texts.

It was published in Switzerland in 1559 and was widely distributed during the Protestant Reformation of the sixteenth century.

Today it is one of the most Spanish Bibles used by much of the Christian churches stemming from the Reformation.
