Welcome to the little helper ...

You need the help of a sighted person to install this app. This affects setting up the app and granting the necessary permissions for the app. You can then control and use the app independently using finger gestures and voice commands without external help. We look forward to your feedback, your suggestions for improvement and your experience reports.

After successful installation and setup, the app can be operated as follows ...

1) Tap the screen once to speak a voice command. Please wait for the beep to announce the command. If your command is not recognized, you will be informed.

2) Double-tap the screen to repeat the last command and the resulting action.

The following voice commands are currently available in the app:

"Battery pack"

The current battery status of your smartphone is read out and output by voice. If the battery level is below 30%, you will receive a warning to connect the device to a power supply as soon as possible.

"Time"

Here the current time of your smartphone is announced.

"Date"

This tells you the current date of your smartphone.

"Light on" / "light off"

This turns the light on your smartphone camera on or off.

"Language louder" / "Language quieter"

Here you can set the volume of the speech output of the app.

"Status"

This tells you the current settings of the app.

"Location"

The current GPS position of your smartphone location is queried online via a Google service and then announced with an address.

"Barcode"

An EAN barcode is scanned via your smartphone camera and evaluated in plain text online via product comparison portals. A returned item description will then be announced to you by voice output.

"Colour"

This is used to take a photo with your smartphone camera and evaluate its color values. The colors found are then announced to you with the corresponding color names in percentages.

"Camera"

A magnifying glass is implemented using your smartphone camera. Use the "Touch" on the screen to move two fingers apart or together to set the desired magnification. The possible zoom levels depend on the hardware of your smartphone.

"Imprint Data Protection"

The imprint and the privacy policy of the app are displayed. You must accept them when you start the app in order to use the app. You can find this in the Google Playstore and at the following Internet address ...
