The Bombay is a breed of cats that originated in the United States.
With the aim of obtaining a miniature black panther, the breed originated from crosses between black American shorthairs and sable burmeses. He is a cat that looks very much like the American Burmese. In fact, it is the result of a cross between the latter and a shorthair. The Bombay is affectionate, tender, eager for tenderness and hugs. This is an indoor feline, who prefers to bask in the warmth rather than risk adventure. He is not particularly athletic and it will be necessary to take care of his diet. Very sociable, he appreciates children, other animals and congeners. Plus, he doesn't meow much.
