Bottle for Botol

Australian and Indonesian classes who have joined Bottle for Botol's programme can chat with each other using this app. It instantly translates English messages to Indonesian, and vice-versa, using Google Translate.

Features:

• Weekly topics can be set at scheduled dates and times for the students to discuss.

• All messages sent between students are recorded in the chat window - all Sender messages on one side of the window, and all Receiver messages on the other side

• Assigning of user roles to restrict what users can and can't access

• The teacher can end a chat session so students can't continue to chat outside school hours

Bottle for Botol is a not-for-profit. We aim empower students across the world to move beyond single-use plastics towards an environmentally sustainable future.

Bottle for Botol will achieve our vision through a simple water bottle exchange program, which generates partnerships between Australian and Indonesian schools to combat single-use plastics consumption.

Through cross-cultural discussion and student-led initiatives, it is Bottle for Botol's hope that students will emerge from the program with the tools and conviction to advocate for environmental sustainability and further develop their Australia-Asia literacy.
